When we are producing the Castings then we are not just producing the component with the same shape as the sample, but we are producing the component to give a particular internal structure and the required physical and mechanical properties. Castings which are not only free from surface defects but also from internal blow holes are manufactured at Vaishnav Engineering Work.

In SG Iron Casting

What we are looking is : What is the %age of Nodularity ? What is the number of Nodules ? What is the %age of Ferritic and Pearlitic area of the casting ? What is the Tensile Strength ? What is the Hardness of the material ?

Keeping in mind before the start that what we need, we shall produce the product accordingly so that we can get the required properties. The standard for SG Iron that we are producing is EN 1563:1997. Some of the normal production is done under EN-GJS-350-22 where 350 is the tensile strength in MPa and 22 is the %age elongation. Material with other specification can be produced as per the clients requirement.

In Malleable Castings

We are manufacturing the Blackheart Malleable Castings and our main consideration is : What is the structure of the Tempered Carbon that we are getting ? What is the % age of Ferritic and Pearlitic area of the casting ? What is the Tensile Strength ? What is the Hardness of the material ?

The Standard of the Malleable castings that we are producing is ISO 5922 (1981) and BS EN 1562:1997. The normal specification that we are producing is B 30-06, B 32-12 and B 35- 10 where B is for Blackheart Malleable, next two digits X 10 is the tensile Strength in Mpa and next two digits is the %age Elongation of the test piece.
